Eligibility Criteria for Diploma in Physiotherapy (DPT)
Academic Qualifications:

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.

Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.

Minimum qualifying marks:

45% aggregate in PCB for General Category
-
40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates

English must be a subject in the 12th standard.

Candidates from NIOS, State Open Schools, or boards recognized by the Central or State Government are eligible if they meet the subject and marks criteria.
Eligibility for Foreign Nationals:

Foreign students must have qualifications equivalent to 10+2 in India.

Equivalency to be confirmed by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

The institution and state paramedical council must verify the equivalence of qualifications.
Reservation Policy:

3% Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD):
-
Candidates with locomotor disability (40%–50%) involving the lower limbs are eligible.

Assessment to be done by a medical board and a physiotherapy expert panel authorized by the state government.

5% Relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
-
Other reservations will be applicable as per the State Government’s policy.

Other Conditions:

Minimum Age: 17 years (as on 31st December of the admission year)

Upper Age Limit: 35 years (may vary as per state/institution rules)

The candidate must be medically fit.

Admission is held once every academic year.
